Baltimore County Police arrested a teacher employed at the St. Paul's School for Girls on a sexual assault charge of a 16-year-old New Jersey student.

Investigators from the Solebury Township, Pennsylvania Police Dept. say they were notified of the sexual assault on November 20 and identified 28-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy as the person involved.

Police say, Reddy, who was once employed at the Pennington School in New Jersey, engaged in sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old from the school at a park in Solebury Township.

In a letter, Penny Evins, Head of St. Paul School for Girls, says Reddy has been terminated.  Evins stated that the well being of their students is a priority and that before hiring Reddy they completed a thorough background check. They also said:

"This news is deeply disturbing to all of us and saddens us. We have terminated Mrs. Reddy’s employment with St. Paul’s School for Girls, effective immediately. Mrs. Reddy is barred from campus and we discontinued her access to the school’s computer network. Before today, we had no information suggesting any prior improper conduct by Mrs. Reddy."

A parent from the school was also left appalled at the recent allegations of the school teacher.

"It's disturbing, it's disgusting, it's filthy, it's all of the above," said the parent.

Reddy was arrested by Baltimore County Police with the assistance of Solebury Township Police on a felony warrant for institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of a minor.

She is currently being detained in Baltimore City, Maryland awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
