Baltimore County Police are looking for the person who hit a man with a car in Dundalk then kept driving.

Around 12:34 a.m. on  August 23,  Keith C. Tawney was walking southbound on North Point Boulevard just south of Cove Road when he was hit by a vehicle. Tawney, 23, died at the scene.

The driver didn't stop after hitting him, but pieces of the vehicle were left behind. Police believe the vehicle may have sustained some damage to the hood, lights and front fender.

"Memories come up on Facebook and today last year Keith was having his surgery for his cancer that came back," Tawney's mother, Denise Cohill, said.

Cohill says not a day goes by where Keith isn't top of mind and has this to say to the person who killed him.

"I don't know how you can live with yourself day in and day out you probably have children of your own what if someone did that to your child?"

While police are still work on the details, they're hoping anyone who may have been in the area at the time will give them a call.

Cohill hopes a increased reward thanks to Metro Crimestoppers and private donations will get people talking.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCK UP.  Those with information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. A private collection is up to $3,000 leaving up to $5,000 in reward money.
