Baltimore County police searching for suspects in $46,000 jewelry heist

TIMONIUM, Md. - Police in Baltimore County are still looking for two people who stole nearly $46,000 in jewelry from a Timonium store almost two months ago.

Police said a man and a woman walked into Ricardo’s Gems and Jewelry in the 9600 block of Deereco Road on New Year’s Eve. The woman asked to look at some jewelry, and while the clerk was helping her, the man took several rings from an unlocked display case.

The rings were worth a combined $45,750, police said.

Both the man and the woman left the store in an unknown vehicle.  Their picture was caught on the store’s video surveillance system.

Anyone with any additional information is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or the Metro Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-866-7LOCKUP.  Tipsters can also text Metro Crime Stoppers plus their message to CRIMES (274637).

If your tip to the Metro Crime Stoppers hotline leads to the arrest and indictment of a suspect for a felony, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
