An 87-year-old man bit another man who tried to attack him outside his Cockeysville home, Baltimore County Police said.

Police said the suspect knocked on the door of the man’s home in the 12700 block of Falls Road around 7 a.m. on Dec. 14 and told him his well needed to be checked.

When the man told the suspect that there was nothing wrong with his well, the suspect reached into the home, grabbed the man's hand and pulled him to the ground, police said.

The suspect got onto his back and tried to put his arm around the man's neck, but the man bit his hand.

A 60-year-old woman who lived in the home then came outside and punched the suspect in the head, police said.

The suspect then ran off. The victim sustained minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital.

Police are looking for a white man, 20 to 30 years old, 5'10" and 160 pounds, who was wearing a grey beanie cap, black shirt and black pants. He may be driving a light-colored SUV.

Pictures of a man that investigators believe to be him were captured on video surveillance at an area Royal Farms Store.
