Two men have been charged with attempted first-degree murder and other related charges in connection with a May 30 shooting in Gwynn Oak, Baltimore County Police said.

Police said the victim did not know either Jacques Maurice Jones, 42, or Michael Kyri Isaac, 22. Jones faces charges of attempted murder, home invasion and related charges; Isaac was charged with first-degree assault in addition to attempted murder and home invasion.

Police said Jones and Isaac went to the victim's home in the 2100 block of Streamway Court and forced their way inside. Once inside, they took electronics and other items of personal property, and loaded then into the victim's car.

When the victim ran from the location, one of the men shot him once in the upper body. They then left the area in the victim's car.

The victim was treated and released from an area hospital.

Detectives are still trying to determine why Jones and Isaac chose to rob the Streamway Court home. The victim did not know the suspects.
