Woman sentenced for robbing and beating a tourist in Baltimore

BALTIMORE - Shatia Baldwin headed to court on Friday at Mitchell Courthouse for a sentencing hearing. It's the same place where she was involved in a crime.

Police say Baldwin and three others took part in a beating and robbery that took place in front of Mitchell Courthouse in March on Saint Patrick's Day.  The whole thing was videotaped and went viral online.

Police say Baldwin and several others beat up a tourist and left him unconscious.  One woman is seen in the video beating the victim with a shoe.  The video shows a man being beaten, robbed and stripped of his clothing.

Police say people were so enraged, officers received enough tips to identify the suspects and bring them into custody.  Three other people were arrested.

They have already been sentenced.  Baldwin received 3 years in prison for her role in the crime.
