Violence erupts in Baltimore Friday night

City police are investing five separate shooting incidents that left two people dead.

All the shootings occurred late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

The first shooting occurred Friday night at 11:27 p.m. where a 22-year-old male walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh. 

Detectives learned the shooting took place in the 1700 block of Milton Avenue.

The second incident occurred at 11:40 p.m. where a 22- year-old male was discovered by police suffering from gunshot wounds in the 400 block of East 22nd Street. The victim died shortly after arriving to Johns Hopkins Hospital. 

The third incident occurred shortly after midnight Saturday where an officer was flagged down in the 5800 block of York Road where a 27-year-old male was shot.  The officer summoned a medic for the victim.

The fourth incident occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. where the victim walked in an area hospital with gunshot wounds. The victim told detectives the shooting occurred in the 500 block of Dolphin Street.

The final shooting occurred at about 1:33 a.m. in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue where police discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. 

13-year-old Deandre Barnes was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma.

The other victim, a 21-year-old male, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
