Two time gun offender faces 58 years after third gun conviction

State's Attorney Office says Kevin Goode was convicted as a felon in possession of a firearm along with other convictions, this is his third handgun conviction.

Officials say in February they noticed Goode on the 2300 block of East Lafayette after smelling marijuana from the minivan that he was driving. They assisted Goode, who is paralyzed from the chest down and saw a plastic bag with suspected drugs in it. After a search of the car, the also found a loaded handgun.

Goode is scheduled for sentencing on December 18th.
