BALTIMORE - Two Baltimore pimps were sentenced this week for the sex trafficking of a 14-year-old girl, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Baltimore said.
Kenneth Ronald Robinson , 52, was sentenced to 12 years in prison Thursday, while his co-defendant, Eric Evans, 35, received 10 years in prison Tuesday for the same charge.
U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett also sentenced Robinson to 25 years of supervised release following his time in jail. Evans will have to serve 15 years of supervised release after he gets out of jail.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Maryland Child Exploitation Task Force members recovered the victim from a motel on Joppa Road in Baltimore last June.
She was found after officers viewed a picture of her on a website that advertises for prostitution.
Interviews with the teenager revealed that at Robinson’s direction, the victim had been staying with co-defendants Cheralyn Crawford, 25, of Baltimore, and Craig Judy, 29, of Baltimore, and had been performing sex acts for money. Crawford took pictures of the victim using co-defendant Jeffrey Clark’s cellphone, and posted them to the website.
Investigators searched Clark’s cellphone and found it contained photos of both the victim and Crawford that were used on the website’s ads.
The teenager told investigators Robinson introduced her to Evans so that she could engage in prostitution, and that Evans kept the money she earned from prostitution.
Crawford, Clark, 43, of Nottingham and Judy previously pleaded guilty to using the Internet to prostitute a minor. Bennett has sentenced Clark to 46 months in prison, and Judy to three years in prison.
Crawford will be sentenced Sept. 24.
