Baltimore Police officials announced the arrest of two suspects in separate rape cases Friday.

Dana Brown, 29, was arrested in the 600 block of Bartlett Avenue. He was identified as the suspect in a July 14, case, in which a 16-year-old female reported waking up to find a man from her neighborhood in her bed and having nonconsensual sex with her, officials said.

Officials said that Brown fled the location after the 16-year-old pushed him off of her. Detectives were able to quickly identify a suspect and obtain a warrant.

According to online court records, Brown is charged with first-degree rape and related charges, including first-degree assault and burglary charges.

Jamal Simms, 19, was arrested Tuesday, and is charged with first-degree rape from an incident earlier in the month, officials said.

On July 15, 2016, a 29-year-old woman reported that a suspect broke into her home in the 1300 block of North Woodington Road and raped her.

Both Brown and Simms are being held at Central Booking without bail.
