Suspect charged in Craigslist dirt bike shooting

Baltimore Police arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of a Sykesville man who came to Baltimore to sell a dirt bike posted on Craigslist back in August.

Khoutney Woodard, 21, of the 300 block of 22nd Street was charged with first-degree attempted murder Tuesday.

On August 3 just before midnight, officers responded to the 2500 block of Christian Street for a shooting report.

Police arrived to find a 27-year-old Sykesville man suffering from a gunshot wound to the forehead. The victim told police he posted a dirt bike for sale on Craigslist and came into town to complete the sale.

The suspect attempted to rob the victim and a struggle ensued. The victim is in stable condition.

Woodard is currently in the Maryland Diagnostic Reception Center waiting to be transported to Central Booking.
