BALTIMORE - Police have identified the suspect in the fatal stabbing of a homeless man that happened Sunday morning.
Officials say multiple witnesses identified 50-year-old Gary Burton as the person responsible for stabbing a man in the chest at a Baltimore homeless shelter.
The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he later died. A preliminary investigation found that before the stabbing, the victim had an argument inside the shelter.
Burton was apprehended on North Milton Street Monday and charged with murder first-degree.
The victim has yet to be identified.
