BALTIMORE - An off-duty police officer shot multiple times Friday night remains in critical condition at Shock Trauma as of Sunday afternoon, police say.
The officer was shot around 7 p.m. as he sat in his personal vehicle in the the 1900 block of Belair Road in east Baltimore.
According to Deputy Police Commissioner Jerry Rodriguez, a suspect approached the officer’s car and shot him several times in the upper torso. Police say the officer was a bystander in the shooting.
