BALTIMORE - Dozens of alleged members and associates of "SSB Bloods" gang indicted in Baltimore.
The indictments came from a coordinated RICO investigation by federal and state authorities.
A federal grand jury indicted 35 people for working together and participating in a racketeering scheme associated with the South Side Brims Bloods gang.
Nine of the people indicted have been arrested.
Prosecutors believe that between 2005 and the present, the gang has operated from Western Maryland to the lower Eastern Shore.
They are accusing the members of several crimes including murders, shootings, home invasion robberies, drug trafficking, and intimidating witnesses.
The arrests that have been made so far involved 100 law enforcement officers who were sent out Thursday morning.
