Police: Woman charged for attempted murder in MTA bus shooting

Baltimore City Police Department announce arrest  in MTA bus shooting that occurred last Saturday. 

Police said on Feb. 18, a 21-year old man was shot in the chest while riding the MTA bus in the 1100 block of Russell Street.

Shortly after the shooting, Citywide Detectives along with MTA investigators identified Keara Peterson, 24, of the 2700 block of Fisk Avenue as the shooting suspect. 

Detectives said Peterson was arrested yesterday and charged with the following: 

  • 1st Degree Attempted Murder
  • 1st and 2nd degree assault 
  • handgun violations 
  • reckless endangerment

Peterson is waiting to see a court commissioner at this time.
