Police seek man in connection with Essex gas station robbery

ESSEX, Md. - Baltimore County police need help in identifying a man they say is responsible for the robbery of an Essex BP gas station on Feb. 3.

Police said the man in question entered the gas station, located in the 200 block of Eastern Blvd., at approximately 10:33 p.m., purchased an item and left the store. When there were no more customers left in the store, the suspect came back in, displayed a handgun, and demanded the clerk open the registers.

Police said the man also struck the clerk in the head with the handgun. He then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

The store clerk was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
