Police make arrest in NW Baltimore attempted murder

Baltimore Police arrested a man for first-degree attempted murder on Monday. 

Dannta Holmes, 37, of the 1500 block of Shields Place, was arrested by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force after detectives investigated an incident from June 15 and identified him as the suspect. 

On June 15, around 12:05 a.m., officers in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road were approached by a 30-year-old man who had been shot in the neck. 

The man told officers he had been shot in the 4100 block of Garrison Avenue and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. 

Holmes is being held at Central Booking without bail, police said.
