BALTIMORE, Md. - An unidentified suspect was listed in stable condition after being wounded Tuesday night in a shooting with Baltimore police.
According to police, the Violent Crime Impact Section was patrolling the area around park Heights Avenue and Belvedere around 9:00 p.m. when they heard gunshots. When police went to investigate and saw a possible suspect running in the rear of the 3000 block of Spaulding Avenue.
Officers approached the suspect and when they tried to question him, police said he opened fire. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the officers returned fire, wounding the suspect in the arm or upper torso. The suspect was taken to a local area hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
An investigation into the incident is continuing. No charges have been filed.
