A suspect is in stable condition at Shock Trauma after a police-involved shooting near Curtis Bay Park.

Two officers on patrol in the area around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday observed an individual they believed was armed. The officers pursued the suspect on foot and determined he was armed. During the pursuit, the suspect turned and pointed his gun toward the officers, who fired at the suspect.

The officers fired multiple shots at the suspect and continued to purse him on foot. He was able to flee the scene in a waiting car.

Police received a call from Harbor Hospital about a shooting victim. Investigators were able to determine the patient was the suspect involved. He's a 23-year-old man.

The suspect was transported from Harbor Hospital to Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries. He's in stable condition.

Neither of the officers were injured. They're six and three year veterans of the Baltimore Police Department. They will be placed on routine administrative leave.
