Police responded to the 1500 block of Holbrook Street around 4:49 p.m. for what initially came out as a traffic accident.
When units arrived to the scene, they found a man in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds to the body.
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. Police believe the man is in his twenties.
Shortly after arrival, medical personnel at Johns Hopkins pronounced the victim dead.
