Police bust two Baltimore heroin distribution rings

BALTIMORE - A joint operation involving local and federal law enforcement agencies helped take down two alleged heroin distribution rings in Baltimore.

The Baltimore City State’s Attorney Office said the heroin rings operated along the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor while the other set is known as the Gucci Boys, who operate in Northeast Baltimore.

According the state’s attorney office, seven of the 21 defendants indicted earlier this week were arrested Thursday as part of the takedown, which was operated by the Baltimore Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the state’s attorney office.
