Police bust corner store drug operation

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Baltimore City Police busted an enormous drug operation that was run out of a corner store in the Greektown neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The corner store at Rappolla and Fleet Streets has been under police surveillance for a number of years.

When city police raided the store, they discovered heroin, cocaine, marijuana, prescription drugs, and crack.

The corner store was owned by a woman that Greektown locals referred to as "Mamma."

According to police, because this store was well-known for being fully loaded with drugs, it has caused numerous break-ins.

Police also say that not everyone is happy with this drug bust because the operation provided numerous drug dealers in Baltimore with their supplies.

Baltimore City Police have not released the names of the suspects they arrested until formal charges are made.
