Overnight shootings leaves a 66-year-old man dead and another seriously injured

Police responded to the intersection of West 40th Street and Egdehill Avenue for a shooting around 2:45 a.m. Monday.

Once on the scene, officers found a 31-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and shoulder.

Police say the victim was found in a vehicle alongside a friend.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

Investigations revealed the man was in the area picking up his car when he got in an argument with an unknown suspect. This argument lead to the shooting of the victim.

About two hours later in North Baltimore, police responded to the 5100 block of York Road for a 66-year-old shooting victim.

Police say when they arrived to the scene they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers found the man was approached by two unknown men, one armed, while with a friend.

The armed suspect demanded money from the victims, the victims refuses and a struggle ensued. As a result the victim was shot in the chest.

Both suspects fled the location on foot, heading west on Winston Avenue, according to police.
