Officers on patrol hear gunfire and find shooting victim.
Police say around 1:47 a.m. Saturday, officers were on patrol in the Eastern district when they heard gunfire.
They began to canvass the area for evidence of a shooting and found a victim in the 2700 block of East Madison Street.
Police say they found a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds and transported him to hospital for treatment.
