McKenzie Elliott should be 5 years old.  She should be enjoying her summer and looking forward to kindergarten, but a gunman cut her life short.

McKenzie was just 3 years old when she was shot outside her home on Old York Road. "It was just before 4pm when officers were called to Old York Road," Detective Jeremy Silbert with the Baltimore City Police Department recounts,   "When they arrived they found 3 year old McKenzie Elliott who had been shot, she did not survive her injuries.  Investigators believed she was outside, it was the middle of the day and this is what children do, they go outside and play, by all accounts that's what McKenzie Elliott was doing."

The reward in the case is up to $7,000 if a tip is submitted to Metro Crime Stoppers.  "We believe that someone out there has more information on the persons responsible for this.  By all accounts someone pulled up on the block and started shooting, at least one person."
