An immigration protest ends with four Baltimore activists being arrested. On Monday, all four head to trial. Activists Rev. CD Witherspoon, Rasika Ruwanpathirana, Andrew Mayton and Alec Summerfield were arrested at Baltimore’s Immigration and Customs Office on May 1.

They are all charged with Failure to Obey after a May Day protest. The Peoples Power Assembly is calling for supports to picket the trial Monday, and plan to hold a news conference to demand the charges be dropped.

During the May Day protest the group had a list of demands posted on a banner calling for a $15 an hour minimum wage, shutting down ICE, as well as ending racism and police terror.
