BALTIMORE - Police are investigating two unrelated homicides in Baltimore City.
Both happened within minutes of each other of the early hours of Saturday morning.
Just after midnight officers were called to 109 Denison Street in west Baltimore for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot in the chest. He was taken to an area hospital where he died a short time later.
Police say the man was sitting on his front porch when at least two men pulled up in a dark van and began to shoot.
Just before 2 a.m. a woman lay dying of a stab wound in a row house at 40 Stockton Street in west Baltimore. The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead at 2:31 a.m.
Police are investigating.
