A man was shot near East 22nd Street and Cecil Avenue Tuesday afternoon, right next to an elementary school in East Baltimore as children were getting ready to be dismissed.
Officers responded to the scene and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head just a half a block away from Cecil Elementary School.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, and remains in critical condition.
