A Baltimore man was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with all but 14 years suspended, for sexually assaulting his 14-year-old neighbor back in January, according to the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office.

Todd Graves also received five years' probation, and will be required to register as a lifetime sex offender.

On Jan. 8, the 14-year-old victim told her aunt she had been raped by Graves, a neighbor and friend of the family, on New Year's Day.

The aunt confronted Graves, who at first denied the accusations. The aunt contacted police and the victim was taken to the Baltimore Child Abuse Center for a forensic interview.

During the interview, the teen said her aunt had asked Graves to take her to get some coffee. But instead of driving to the coffee shop, he drove to his home in the 3000 block of E. Federal Street.

She told police Graves grabbed her out of his truck and made her go inside.  Once inside, he began rubbing her thigh before leading her to the couch in the living room, where he continued his sexual assault.

After the assault, Graves drove the girl to the coffee shop before taking her back home.
