A 26-year-old man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter following a crash over the weekend that killed an 11-year-old girl and injured three other children, Baltimore Police said.
Dominic Dewone McCoy, of the 2500 block of Wilkens Avenue, doesn't possess a valid driver's license.
Police said alcohol and speed were a factor in the crash, which happened at 4:37 p.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of Frederick Avenue.
Police said McCoy was driving a 2000 Acura TL westbound when he crossed the double yellow line and
collided with an SUV that was traveling eastbound.
The Acura went into a spin before crashing into a parked car.
Four children were in the backseat of the Acura.
Laniera Middleton, 11. was ejected from the car. She was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead by hospital personnel.
Three other children, an 11-year-old girl, a 9-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy. are being cared for at area hospitals and are in critical condition.
The front passenger of the Acura, a 35 year-old man, sustained injuries as well. He was transported to an area hospital, but walked out prior to being discharged.
McCoy is at Central Booking, where he is being held on $1.25 million bail.
The driver of the Acura, 26 year-old Dominic Dewone McCoy of the 2500 block of Wilkens Avenue was taken into custody. McCoy does not possess a valid driver's license.

CRASH Team investigators determined that 26 year-old Dominic Dewone McCoy was impaired at the time of the collision. Alcohol and speed were contributing factors.
CRASH Team investigators are working with the Baltimore States Attorney's Office as formal charges were brought against Dominic Dewone McCoy. McCoy has charged with Vehicular Manslaughter and is currently at Central Booking where he is being held with a $1,250,000 bail.
