Detectives respond to East Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE - Baltimore homicide detectives were called to East Baltimore after a man was found shot in the head late Friday afternoon.

According to police, officers were called to the intersection of East Preston Street and North Bradford Avenue just after 4:30 p.m for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived they found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At last check, the man is being treated for his injuries and is expected to survive.

Investigators believe the man was standing in the 2300 block of East Preston Street when he was approached by an unknown suspect on a bicycle.

The suspect shot the victim and took off, police said.
