41-year-old Alex Wroblewski just got done with his shift at the Rowhouse Grille in Federal Hill.
It was late, 1:15 am when he stopped by the Royal Farms on Key Highway and bought a late night snack, milk, and cookies.

Police say Wroblewski’s would be killers are caught on camera opening the door for him as he left the store; they then followed him up Lawrence Street, robbed him and after a brief struggle, shot and killed him.
“This is good video. This is video of individuals who have valuable information that can lead to the closure of this case,” said Baltimore Police Chief T. J. Smith.
Police are looking for the two people caught in the Royal Farms surveillance video, a man and a woman they are, for now, calling persons of interest.
They are also looking for a silver Chevy sedan seen leaving the scene.
“We are dealing with someone who didn’t care about what the repercussions for their actions would be so we are asking for the community to come together to assist us to quickly get the people off the street,” Smith said.
By the reaction in Locust Point and Federal Hill today, that will not be a problem.
Theresa Abel is a lifelong friend of Wroblewski, he was a south Baltimore boy she says, born and raised.
She came out near the Royal Farms today to put up a poster, balloons, and flowers.
“I’ve known him my whole life. I’ve probably known him 40 some years ya know. And he should be remembered,” Abel said, “There should be more than this up here. There should be a lot more than this up here. And I can guarantee you I won’t be the last one you see today.”
She wasn’t.
The Rowhouse Grille also shared their sentiments on the loss of Wroblewski:
"Like so many others in South Baltimore, we at The Rowhouse are heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend Alex "Albo" Wroblewski. Albo wasn't just a colleague or a friend; he was part of our family and embodied so much of what we all want Rowhouse to be. Albo was an exceptional individual and could always be relied upon to help his friends and colleagues. If more people were as thoughtful, caring and personable as Albo was, the world would be a better place. We know that because of the way he enhanced all of our lives. Albo may be gone, but he will always be a part of us and The Rowhouse Grille."
On the door of Rowhouse Grille on Light Street a sign read closed for lunch, the poster with Alex’s picture on the window explaining what his co-workers simply could, not yet.
Detectives are looking for three persons of interest at this time. Those who knew Alex are searching for peace and answers as they remember him.
"He was not only a bartender, he did everything for me. He was the hostess, he was the bartender, he was the manager, he was everything, but for me its mostly just a friend, a really good friend to many people, a really good son to his parents," said Brian Burnett, a friend of Wroblewski.
