BALTIMORE - A popular Federal Hill sports bar was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning.
Police said officers were called to the 1100 block of S. Charles Street just before 7 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery at a business. When officers arrived employees told police they were just robbed by four men armed with shotguns and handguns.
While police are not naming the business that was targeted, the Facebook page for Mother's Grille which is located at 1113 S. Charles Street confirms the Federal Hill watering hole was robbed, "We were robbed at gunpoint before opening this morning," the post reads. "Everyone is ok, thank god."
A preliminary investigation found that four masked men walked entered the bar and robbed the employees of their wallets, cell phones and cash. They fled in an unknown direction.
One of the victims suffered a minor head injury but is in good condition, police said.
Despite the armed robbery, Mother's will be open at 11 a.m. to begin its Super Bowl celebration, "We are open for business," reads a tweet from @Mother's Grille, "Nothing can stop the Mother's train."
