Father, son shooting victims identified

BALTIMORE - A New Year's Day shooting that left a father and son dead remains under investigation, but police have released the names of the two victims.

Frank Anthony Turner, 48, and his son Anthony Dionne Turner, 21, were killed by gunfire in the 3900 block of Edmondson Avenue Wednesday afternoon. Their last known address is in the 1500 block of Shields Place in Baltimore.

Baltimore City Police officers were called to the 3900 block of Edmondson Avenue around 3:19 p.m. for reports of a double shooting.

When police arrived they found both men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The two were rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead within a few hours. According to police, multiple shots were fired, and one of the victims was shot in the head.

Police believe an unknown person walked up to the Turners and started shooting at them with a handgun.
