They gathered on Greenmount Avenue, just feet from where Rykeise Shaw lost his life.
"He ain't deserve this, for real," said his cousin, Nykia Pinkney.
Standing in the rain, about 40 people lit candles and remembered the 18-year-old who went by Gucci.
"He was cool, for real, he was laid back,” Toneyah Eberhart said. “He really didn't mess with nobody like that."
"We just grew up together, we have a lot of memories, we used to do a lot of stuff on the streets," said his cousin, Micha Pinkney.
"It's just messed up cuz he ain't really, he ain't never do nothing to nobody, never,” said Jalen Wainwright. “He was just always chillin."
Rykeise was shot to death just after 1AM Monday morning. The last moments of his life were captured on a nearby surveillance camera.
"I saw him the day he died, like a couple hours before, it still feel like it not real," Eberhart said.
"When I found out that he died I was on my knees in my house crying," said Pinkney.
Baltimore Police released the chilling video Tuesday, hoping someone will recognize the two suspects. In the footage you see the pair pull up in separate cars, and walk inside the building. Within minutes Rykeise and a friend show up, the triggerman walks out and shoots him once in the head, killing him.
Police say the killer's demeanor as he walks away means this isn't the first time he's taken a life.
"Like nothing ever happened, like it's a brand new day,” Pinkney said. “It's sad how people out here killing these young people, my cousin just turned 18."
Investigators don't have a motive, but the bloodshed on the streets is out of control.
Family members hope someone recognizes the murderer and speaks up. They just want justice for Rykeise.
"I hope they catch whoever did it," Wainwright said.
Baltimore Police say they're begging for help. There were witnesses who saw the shooting happen, and officers say now is the time to help lock these criminals up.
