Officers of the Northwest District launched an investigation that targeted violent offenders, leading them to recover guns, money and drugs.
Detectives arrested Robert Riddick, 35, and Naja Baker, 33, after seizing a loaded 9mm handgun, five pounds of marijuana, $3000, and narcotic manufacturing equipment from a home in the 3800 block of Glengyle Avenue.
Police say Riddick is prohibited from possessing a fire arm.
Both individuals have been charged with handgun violations and narcotic trafficking.
Riddick and Baker are currently at Central Booking waiting to see a court commissioner.
