Baltimore Councilman Brandon Scott ended Monday's council meeting by walking out, displeased with the mayor's response to reduce violence.

With more than 180 homicides in 2017 so far, the council requested Mayor Catherine Pugh present a clear plan of what to do to stop the crimes.

A spokesperson from Pugh's office attended the meeting and offered a potential plan. Councilman Scott said the presentation consisted of statistics of what the police department was doing, which he said the council already knew and was not what the council asked from the mayor.

"We're not asking for a PowerPoint presentation and until we get that and until we get serious about reducing violence in Baltimore, the committee is in recess. Thank you, " Council Scott said before getting up and walking out of the meeting.

ABC2 spoke with Mayor Pugh Tuesday who said she was unaware of what happened at the meeting.

Councilman Scott was not available for comment Tuesday.
