Corrections Officer indicted for drugs

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - The Baltimore City Grand Jury indicted a correctional officer with eight counts of narcotics crimes at the Central Booking Intake Center.

Michael McCain was charged yesterday with various narcotics crimes, including possession with intent to distribute and so-called "foxy methoxy," an hallucinogen, at Central Booking.

The Department of Public Safety Safety and Correctional Services Internal Investigative Unit (IIU) brought the case to the Baltimore City State's Attorney based on evidence collected internally.

According to the indictment, McCain, 44, allegedly, possessed marijuana, possessed marijuana with the intent to distribute, possessed marijuana with intent to distribute to a person in correctional facility, possessed diisopropyl, methoxytamine so-called "foxy methoxy", possessed diisopropyl with the intent to distribute and possessed diisopropyl with the intent to distribute to a person in the correctional facility.
