City residents and those who lead the city are sick of the violence in our streets. That's why they marched through the area raising awareness in an effort to open eyes to the senseless killing.
"We want to change the scheme of things in Baltimore. With the kids. We can't keep losing our kids. It's our responsibility to make a change and do something about it," said organizer, Marvin McDowell.
There was about 100 people who marched through the city Thursday. McDowell was joined by church, community and even city leaders.
Everyone ended up at City Hall hoping their cries for change will be heard.
"Were not getting younger, we're getting older and we have to leave a legacy behind and we don't want our young people to live with blood-stained streets," said Natasha Jones.
Organizers said they hope to put together more community awareness events like this one throughout the summer.
