City Sheriff's deputies execute warrants

BALTIMORE (WMAR) -

For the past two days, Baltimore City Sheriff's Deputies have been executing child support warrants in Baltimore City. "Deputies Answering the Call to Aid Kids" is an attempt to collect the thousands of dollars that are owed.

Sheriff's Deputies have arrested 28 individuals for failing to pay child support and have collected over $25,000.

Other jurisdictions have also joined in this effort to apprehend individuals in their counties for failing to pay.

The Baltimore City Sheriff's Office has worked with these agencies before and the results have overwhelmingly successful.

Last month's initiative, "The Big Pay-Day," netted over 50 arrests and brought in thousands of dollars to improve the lives of many mothers and their children.

Sheriff John W. Anderson has made it his mission to seek out these individuals and to ensure that they are brought in.
