Baltimore City Police were conducting an investigation in the 2100 block of North Charles Street Saturday when they encountered a man who was armed with a handgun.
Officers placed the suspect 36-year-old John Mellow under arrest.
Mellow had a loaded .45 caliber handgun, 150 grams of marijuana, U.S. currency and a scale.
Mellow was transported to central bookings and has been charged with handgun and narcotics violations.
