It was a bloody start to the weekend with three deadly shootings and a fatal stabbing occurring between Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
Baltimore City Police have their hands full with four homicide investigations after several weekends of relative calm.
Police said on Friday at 7:46 p.m. officers were called to the 500 block of Patapsco Street. When they arrived they found a man, later identified as18-year-old Darius Shields, shot in the chest. Shields was taken to Shock Trauma where he died just before 8:30 p.m.
The night's second victim, 21-year-old Delroy Davis, died at Shock Trauma at 10:55 p.m., police said. He was shot multiple times in the 2300 block of W. Lanvale Street around 11:30 p.m.
Police said around 1:55 Saturday morning an officer patrolling the 200 block of N. Franklintown Road in Southwest Baltimore saw a black Toyota Camry parked with the front driver and passenger doors open. The windshield and side windows were riddled with bullet holes, police said. Upon further investigation the patrol officer found a man identified as Tavon Pierson shot several times in the upper torso. Pierson was taken to Shock Trauma where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m.
Another man found at the scene was shot in the legs. He is expected to survive.
Police are also investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 5400 block of York Road, close to the city-county line.
