$27K reward offered in murder of Dollar General worker

A reward of $27,000 is being offered for information in the shooting death of a Dollar General store employee in west Baltimore.

Authorities released surveillance video showing two unknown suspects who entered the store, located in the Edmondson Village Shopping Center in the 4500 block of Edmondson Avenue.

Police said they were alerted to a robbery at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday. After robbing the store, one suspect shot and killed the store manager, identified as 54-year-old Deric Ford, Sr.

Officers arrived to find Ford suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.

He died a short time after arriving at the hospital.
