A 20-year-old man was arrested by the Baltimore Police Deputy Commissioner and members of his staff after he threatened to shoot restaurant employees Saturday.

Police say Deputy Commissioner DeSousa and two members of his staff were in the area of the 3300 block of Reisterstown Rd conducting “proactive enforcement” when they learned that a suspect was threatening to shoot employees at a nearby restaurant. They arrived at the scene as the suspect was trying to flee inside his car.

The suspect was apprehended as police boxed in his vehicle. A loaded .22 caliber revolver was recovered on Sean McNair of the 4200 block Pall Mall Rd before he was arrested.

He was taken to Central Booking where he has been charged with Handgun Violation and Assault. He is currently waiting to see a court commissioner.
