Two people were killed and a third injured in two separate shootings in Baltimore City Thursday night into Friday morning.
These deadly shootings contribute to a violent week in Baltimore, with at least two dozen shootings.
The first overnight shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. in the 4700 block of Wilern Avenue, Baltimore Police said.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics shortly after midnight.
A second victim was found in the 2700 block of Cold Spring Lane as patrol officers searched the area.
The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, police said. He was listed in serious but stable condition Friday morning.
Baltimore homicide detectives are investigating and believe the shooter was a man, but have no identifying information about him.
The second shooting happened around 1:50 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Collins Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, from July 25 through July 31 of last year there were nine shootings. In the same time frame in 2014, there have been 24.
