2 men shot, 1 dead overnight in Baltimore

Baltimore Police say three men were shot, one fatally, in three overnight shootings. The first occurred at 10:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Barnes St in east Baltimore; police found a 19-year-old man shot in the ankle. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

Before 1 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the 2500 block of Hoffman St. in east Baltimore for another shooting; there they located a man shot in the head. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital but died shortly after.

Homicide detectives are investigating this murder and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2100,

At 1 a.m. in west Baltimore, officers responded to the intersection of Wheeler Ave and Lafayette Ave for a shooting call; there they found a 24-year-old man shot in the hip. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
