2 Killed in Baltimore City in separate shootings

BALTIMORE - Two men were shot and killed in unrelated incidents in Baltimore Monday, according to releases from the Baltimore Police Department.

Eight people so far have been murdered in Baltimore as of Jan. 6, 2014.

The first shooting was reported at 4:29 p.m. in the 3600 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in northwest Baltimore. Police found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Northern District officers were later dispatched to the 4400 block of Pall Mall Road at around 7:48 p.m. The victim, also suffering from a single gunshot wound, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical staff, according to a release.
