2 killed, 1 injured in 3 shootings Friday night

Two people were killed and another injured in three shootings Friday night. 

Just before 5 p.m. in the 1600 block of N. Gay Street, officers found a 56-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. 

Detectives believe the homicide could be a domestic related incident and a possible suspect has been identified. 

At 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of North and Pennsylvania avenues, police responded to a shooting. Investigators say police units were walking the area by foot when they heard gunshots. They then saw the victim running in the street.A 55-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder. He was transported to the hospital and is in good condition. 

Then at 7:35 p.m. a 31-year-old man was shot in the 5200 block of St. Charles Street. The victim was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. Detectives said the victim was standing in the block when numerous shots were fired.
