A 90-year-old woman and her 82-year-old brother were shot while walking toward a bus stop in the 3400 block of Clifton Avenue Monday afternoon.

Baltimore City Police say both victims are expected to survive.

According to police, an unknown gunman fired shots from the Walbrook Junction Shopping Center located across the street around 1 p.m. The woman sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Her brother was also shot in the leg.

Police initially reported a bullet grazed the woman's head. In fact, she hit her head on the ground after falling.

“Angels were hovering over these two," T.J. Smith of the Baltimore City Police said in a media briefing Monday afternoon.

Police believe the two victims weren’t the intended targets.

No arrests have been made and there is currently no suspect at this time.
