2 dead, 2 injured in 4 shootings Wednesday

Two people have died and two others are seriously injured after four shootings within hours Wednesday. 

Officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of North Carey Street at approximately 5:48 p.m. A 22-year-old male was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

At 8 p.m. officers located a 24-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body in the 500 block of McElderry Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

A 17-year-old male was found in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road at approximately 8:55 p.m. The victim was shot in the back and legs. He was transported to an area hospital and is in serious condition.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. officers located a 29-year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds to the body and head. He was taken to an area hospital and is in grave condition.

According to police, the 29-year-old victim was sitting on steps in the block when a black vehicle pulled up and an unknown suspect inside the vehicle shot the victim.
